Liam Thompson

Nursery Manager

Hi, I am Liam. I have over 5 years of experience in a broad range of settings working with children, childcare has been my passion since a young age.

I have always been passionate about early years education even from school age, understanding all the benefits and reading research about the benefits on education when a child attends a nursery. I have been working in childcare since 2012, I have worked in a range of different childcare settings, I have been a teaching assistant, a toddler room leader of a busy nursery with 17 toddlers for 2 years! I have also worked in an orphanage in Cambodia which was able to provide me with a completely unique perspective on childcare and overall life appreciation. I started my early years journey as a practitioner and worked through the platforms up to the point of Nursery manager.

I have a wide range of knowledge of the EYFS framework, I have experience and the necessary life skills that I have developed over the years. I bring my own ideas but also bring my willingness to adapt to newer ideas and work alongside the management team and the staff to create the best possible start to children’s early education. The experience that I have being a room leader for years and being a practitioner helps me not only understand how to effectively support the children but also how to support my team. I am innovative, I am an out of the box thinker and believe in doing everything necessary to get the job done. I also believe that all nursery settings should focus on the child centred approach and ensuring that the children and the true centre of all planning as the children are the foundation of the future.
